Where To Begin
All projects start the same way. Pencil and paper and many marks and mistakes, but all worthwhile. Over time I have filled countless Field Notes notebooks with mind maps, doodles, sketches, shapes and marks, pouring all and any ideas that come to mind for a project. It is from these small sketches that I start to piece together the ideas that eventually form the final work for a brand.
Whilst pencil and paper can seem a little odd-fashioned in this tech driven world, I still find it the most organic and natural way to work, away from the screen and back to basics. It also then makes the digital part so much easier, as the ideas have come to the laptop fully formed and ready for the final adjustments.
